What if you don't care about adipose tissue (ie you're not a fat fuck)... If you only care about healthy arteries, what would you suggest is the ideal diet? A so called 'balanced (Western) diet' will definitely lead to build-up of plaque.

Re: You can eat butter
That unprocessed, naturally occurring fats are not inherently unhealthy is not news, but the same is true of unprocessed carbohydrates too.

"Fat burns fat" means that you need sufficient dietary fat to maximally produce fat-burning enzymes required to break down adipose tissue. However you certainly don't need an overload of fat to achieve this, and the cycling or timing of carbs/fats (e.g. high(er) fat, low(er) carb at one point of the day vs high(er) carb low(er) fat at another point of the day) is only really of relevance to people who are already lean and trying to maximise body composition.

For weight reduction and management, portion control (calories in vs out) is the most important factor. The success of cutting out carbs, or cutting out fats, on a diet is more (read: 95%) about the calorie reduction and less about the macronutrient-specific benefits (e.g. greater insulin control with lower carbs).

I don't think high fat diets are a good long-term or even short-term idea, however a reduction in dietary carbohydrate and increase in dietary fat, as part of a mixed macronutrient intake, will result in greater satiety from meals and so a decreased probability of over-eating, as well as giving a wider spectrum of nutrients and their associated health benefits. Ultimately though it's about the calories.

There's no reason not to have a balanced diet unless you are unable to control your intake - and if you are, you're better off educating yourself about the calorie content of what you're eating rather than cutting out one macronutrient or another. It's not sustainable nor particularly healthy, especially not for the average non-athlete.

Yep Rice and Pasta in moderation is good but 3-4 times in big portions is BAD.

What you call bad consists my daily diet at the moment, and I'll lose weight quickly if I don't eat enough. If you have high calorie requirements and have your essential amino/fatty acids covered, there's nothing wrong with a lot of carbohydrates.

Regarding the Eggs. They contain a chemical (cant remember which one) the actually reduces the elasticity of veins and arteries...

One Egg has the same effect on veins as five cigarettes....

Haven't you seen the Bollywood films?
Us Indians are proper romantics, dancing, peering from behind trees, all those hand gestures.
Works like a charm.

It works with all kinds of animals , 'jam. And if you feel awkward in any way, just switch from the porn to a Rom-Com.

Re: You can eat butter
My theory is that the majority of people know instinctively what is good and what is bad for them, they just choose not to acknowledge the fact because it suits them to eat yummy crap, do less exercise and maintain bad habits.

So much time and money is spent clearly informing an entirely imaginary breed of idiots who apparently don't know that salad is better for them than Monster Munch and that a kickabout is better for them than another day on the Xbox. It's bollocks. these people don;t exist. The problem exists because people are willfully unhealthy, not because they are badly informed.

Coconut oil is better for you in almost everything. Cooking, replacing milk in coffee, rubbing it into your dog's testicles whilst watching porn together.

I have JARS of the stuff.

brown fat is an example of fat being used to burn fat.
CLA is a good example too.

Brown fat has very little known function and is scarce in the adult human body, I believe.
